Sarah René Kraft is a fantasy-surrealist artist, writer, and visual storyteller from Sacramento, California. “My work, drawn using primarily red and blue double-ended colored pencils, combines inspiration from mythology, fairytales, folktales, Victorian floriography, tarot, alchemy, and personal symbolism woven with written trauma-informed stories and archetypal medicine learned from my own healing journey. As an artist living with chronic auto-immune illness and neurodivergence, art has been my remedy and an extension of my therapy pursuits. On this personal descent into the realms of trauma, attachment theory, and the esoteric explorations of the "shadow," it's through these mytho-spiritual "ribbon pieces" and projects like "THE LEMNISCUS TAROT," "LEMNISCUS: PANACEA," and "LEMNISCUS: THE RIBBON BOOK" that I aim to create a sense of connection in a world too often unnerved by openness and feeling.
